May Half to Haro Leg Amputated as Result of Mounds.Apparently crazed by drink, Ralph Kleindolph, manager of the Riverview dance pavilion here, shot a man and woman during a brawl at the Holly- j •wood Inn, notorious roadhouse near Davenport, early this morning. The woman is Mrs. Maud Smith. 61T» East Fifth, Kleindolph's sister-in-in-law The other victim is Fred Hall, bartender at Hollywood, the more seriously hurt of the two.Kleindolph was placed under arrest by Marshal C. M. Frey of Rockingham. However, before he could be j lodged in a cell, the combined efforts of three Davenport police officers were required in subduing the prisoner. One policeman was overpowered j bv the local man. Word from Davenport says Kleindolph had to be beaten into unconsciousness before submit-ting to arrest.No arraignment of Kleindolph lias as, yet been made. This will probably be done in a few days after the prisoner has recovered sufficiently to face charges. A formal charge of assault with a deadly weapon is expected to be filed against him.Three Are Arrested.In company w ith liis wife. Mrs. Maud Smith and Miss Nellie Tubbs, the latter two sisters-in-law, Kleindolph went to the roadhouse last night. Shortly after midnight lie left the place and! visited his automobile. Upon return-1 ing to the inn. it is said, he informed! his party that someone had stolen a' motor meter from the machineIncensed at this, he insisted that1 they leave the place immediately.
