FOUGHT FAST AND FURIOUSKnife and Gun Used With Effect in Saturday Night Altercation.A fierce altercation occurred last Saturday night in the Ruber saloon between Robert Schultze of this city and V J. Coons, former city marshal,at the countyIW/as onlyjail. Ifljwas.omy by the narrowest margin that a ; tragedy and a fa:tal termination for one or the other of the participants was averted.From what con be gathered from the affair the fight was the result of ili-ifeeling of some standing and growing out of the position formerly occupied by. A fierce hand-to-hand struggle followed . in . which a knife was wielded by Schultzeand the butt of a*, revolver by Coons.
