Brombach at that time had been pictured off as a man, cruel to his wife and family and who had drank hard. The judge then showed much sympathy for his wife, the plain German woman as he termed her. Consequently he could not follow the suggestion ofAttorney 51. B. Warner, who yesterdaythemother and sister as bailfor XL.Brombach had four appealed cases of drunkenness. In each instance he had been more than the unfortunate drunkwho harmed nobody but himself. He had not abided by the order of the court to keep away from his wife’s home and on one night went there and insisted onasked the court to again place Brombach on probation.
