The Town of Middletown, which has taken the matter ] in charge for the girl, was represented by Town Attorney D. J. Donahoe, while Lawyer Newton, of Durham, officiated . for Merwin. The girl told her story as j to how she was led astray by the ac cused, and up to noon bad finished her direct testimony. The case was contin- ■ ued this afternoon at 2.15.
