WISI•k*k(UPI Ttl*phot«)SKYJACK EQUIPMENT-An air force sergeant from Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, Nev., carries two parachutes and a crash helmet to the steps of a Hughes Airwest DC-9 at McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas, on Thursday during an attempted skyjacking. After a demanded $50,000 was raised, 52 passengers and two stewardesses were freed in exchange for the money and jump equipment, hut the skyjacker, who signed on as D. B. Cooper, was picked up soon after he hit the ground 80 miles from Denver.wm* .— on
