Soldier To Fight Wall Bed Murder Charge, He SaysT,OS ANGELES, Jan. 20. AMD — Pvt. James T. Richmond, 22, Jersey City, N. 3., said today he would light a murder charge filed against him in connection with the wall bed death December 28 of Jerome C. Hanse, 37, civilian army employe.“I was pretty drunk and can only remember things in spots, Richmond said at his arraignment before Municipal Judge Byron Walters. •He jumped me twice, and then I picked him up and threw him on the bed. I tied him up to keep him from howling and kicking around. When I left the room he . was moaning and kicking.Hansc’s bruised body was found tied In the closed wall bed of his apartment. Hanse's automobile was found abandoned in Phoenix. Ariz., and Richmond was arrested in El Paso. He was stationed at Camp Ibis, Calif.
