GIVES HIMSELF UP TO OFFICERMissing FromProsecutorAfter Talking OverTelephoneRETURNED HERE TOJAIL TO FACE CHARGESWillFromWas JA federal marshal arrived this afternoon and took Lloyd Nelson to Indianapolis where he is wanted on a federal warrant forembezzlement of bank funds from the Milroy bank ofwhich he was cashier.Lloyd Nelson, missing cashierfrom the First National Bank of Milroy and under grand jury indictment and federal court charge of embezzlement, voluntarily gave himself up to Russell Titsworth, prosecuting attorney, Sunday morning after an absence of nearly two weeks during which time wide search had been made for him.Nelson telephoned TitsworthSaturday night and stated that he was speaking from Dayton, Ohio, and that he would like to talk with the prosecutor if they could arrange to meet Sunday morning at Dunrieth. The meeting was effected about 10:30 o’clock and Nelson accompanied the prosecutor back to this city where he was turned over to Sheriff L. M. Coons.Nelson had been missing since Monday afternoon of January 7. Bank examiners had uncovereda shortage in the cashier’s books that was estimated at $22,000 or more. A federal warrant was issued for his arrest and subsequently the Rush county grahd jury met and after an investigation returned two grand jury indictments charging Nelsoff with embezzlement and larceny and placing his bond at $5,000 in one count and $2500 in theother.Nelson indicated that he was ready to enter a plea of guilty and it was# thought for a timefViof Vio nrrmlH hp nrranapri hp-!
