-fTwo Chicago Lassies Are Belifeved to Have Left Home and Come to LaPorteThe police are in receipt of a circular from Capt. P. D. O'Brien of the Chicago detective bureau requesting them to locate if possible a couple of Chicago girls, who have disappeared troin their homes and whose parents are well nigh distracted over their absence. The lassies are described as follows:Leah R. Shipley. 16 years old. 5 feet 6 inches tall, weight 115 pounds, auburn hair, slender build, light complexion, pale from recent illness; wore black felt hat, black skirt, white waist and whit* sweater.Etta Williams, 17 years old, 6 feet 7 inches, slender build, blu* eyes, light hair; wore black skirt, white waist, brown coat, hat triimed with black and blue feathers,It is thought the girls came to LaPorte, but they may have joined some theatrical troupe as chorus girls. It is also suggested In the circular that they - may have fallen into the hands of procurers and been lured to some disreputable resort.Mrs. Smith Got Possession.Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, who has figured numerous times in events of Im portance, was the plaintiff Thursday in Justice Grover s court for possession of property which she had rented to Ed Junket. The defendant didnot appear and Mrs. Smith was given judgment.
