He further admitted having done considerable drinking and going the rounds’*in Colorado City (luring those days.In regard to his connection with the stolen property, he says Williams told mm to try to dispose of It in Colorado City and suggested that Laura Bell, a white woman of that place, might buy some of It. Denny said he sold a considerable quantity to Laura Bell at a remarkably low price. The testimony snowed that Laura Bell secured about 31) yards of silks, etc., worth as high as *1.10 per yard, and puid $10 for the lot The woman states that Denny represented himself as being a Kansas merchant and she supposed the deal wag all • right.
