Honti said his neighbors were preparing to lynch him and his wife. They are accused of treating their ten year old hoy in | a most heartless and cruel manner, such as burning him upon the stove, tying him to the floor and leaving him in that position till his feet were frozen, and at times whipping him nearly to death for some trifling offense. The complaint was made against the father and he was taken to jail to await the action of the grand jury. The mother is said to Ik* even more cruel in her treatment of the bov than the father. The boy is so badly burned where his parents held him over the hot stove that the flesh drops off when the bandages are removed. The physicians say his injuries are probably fatal.
