The name of the firm of Messrs. It. G, -Hurdraan, lumbermen, Ottawa, was forged to a paper representing §500. The notes ^ere en^or8ed in good faith by Mr. K. D. Cloyes, of Brockville, who supposed the signatures of Messrs. Hurdman were . genuine. The police are investigating the matter.
