TUB VIRGINIA OcTRAGK.; Richmond, Jan. 20: The lj itchingof the negro Arthur Jordan, near Wanvntown, V*., on Monday morning, foi eloping with a white girl,as published in the llrruld of to-day, haa occasioned the greatest indignation among the colored members of the Genet al Assembly, and is likely to result in a legislative investigation of the outrage. I’he aflalr is regarded as a grosa outrage ou the laws of Virginia and Maryland, ami isthe second case of the lynching of negroes in Virginia within a month.
