By Glenda TaylorTimes Staff WriterDouble murder suspect Vincent Seard on Monday was found incompetent to stand trial, according to 216th District Attorney Bruce Curry.Seard had been charged with capital murder in the March 2002 slayings of Comfort residents Patricia Kutzer and Terry Ingram.“By agreement, it was ordered he he sent to the North Texas State Hospital at Vernon,” Currv said.Curry said based upon psychiatric evaluations, Seard is expected to obtain competence in the future.“How long that will take, we’re not sure.” Curry said, but “we figure ... a matter of months.”Competency evaluations were performed by Kerrville psychologist Caroline Williams and Austin psychiatrist Richard Coons.The task of transporting Seard to Vernon will fall to the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office, Currysaid.SeardSee SEARD, page 3A
