Miss Satterlee, 16-year-old Hollywoodshowgirl, insisted she had tried to defend herself from the alleged advances.“Did you think of making a noise to attract attention,” asked chief defense counsel Jerry Giesler.“I was too embarrassed,” she replied, “I did think about it a little bit, but all the people on the boat were his friends. And the motor—I think it was the icebox— was on and no one would have heard.”Miss Satterlee charges Flynn attacked her twice while on a cruise to Catalina island, pre-war offshore resort, early in August, 1941.
