SEVASTOPOL.Charles Baptist, jr., has been heard fromby his mother, Mrs. John Thomas. He is an•inmate of the Michigan state reformatory located at Ionia, lie was committed to that institution Ia*t summor by Judge Grant at the July term of the Delta countycircuit court for having been implicated ina robbery. The young man had got into bad company nnd was probably more sinned against thnn sinning. - The cedar camps on the west shore are bad places for young men to go to, especially if they are at all inclined to go wrong. However, the young man writes that he will reform and endeavor to henceforth waljc a stialght path, his narrow escape having convinced him that tlie way of the transgressor is certainly hard.
