Township offig^rs, Chilians honoredCapt. Craig Bradford of the Perry Township Police Department was named Officer of the Year at the department’s annual awards banquet Dec. 13. He received the award for his efforts to improve the department through grants and field training new officers.Other awards presentedanr clude the Supervisor of the Year award given-to Sgt. Thomas Staup, the Most Improved Officer award given to Officer Robert Phillips, and the Rookie of the Year award given to Officer Rick Edwards.Two civilians were also honored at the awards banquet. Walter Foltz received the Civilian Award for his contributions to the department’s training efforts. Russ Decker, executive director of the Allen County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, received a commendation from the department for his support in training department officers.
