Gouly, of 109 Monroe street', was fined 1250 and coats of court or fKL days hard labor upon his con vie* tion for manslaughter before Assistant Recorder Tisdale J. Touart today. An additional charge of failing to stop after an accident was dismissed. Gouly appealed from the conviction and bond was fixed at $300.The case grows from an automobile accident January 5, at Washington avenue and Baltimore streets, in which Miss Della Loma Bass, 980 Seneca street, was fatally Injured and died a few minutes later. After hearing a large number of witnesses the court held that Gouly had been negligent. Assistant Solicitor Marion R. Vickers prosecuted the case and Attorney Francis H. Inge appeared for the defendant.Thomas Holly, of 109 Monroe street, arraigned for disorderly conduct on complaint of his wife, was fined $100 and costs or 90 days by Recorder D. H. Edington. She testified that Holly struck her in the eye and kicked her. Holly denied it and said that her eye injuries were due to a fall. He appealed and was released on $300 bond.Robert Bass, a negro, was sentenced to 90 days on the county road by Recorder Edington for theft of a dress from Fiorina Bowling. Hosie Hennington. another negro, was given 60 days hard labor for the theft of a garment from the store of the W. T. Grant Company.
