Man arrested in 1984slaying of two sisters» HOUSTONPolice say DNA evidence has led to an arrest in the 1984 killing of two sisters in Houston.Harris County jail records show 57-year-old Edmond Beauregard Degan was being held Friday on a capital murder charge. Online records don't list an attorney for Degan, who's held without bond.A relative discovered the bodies of 33-year-old Yleen Kennedy and 23-year-old Lillie Kennedy. The older sister was beaten, stabbed, shot and sexually assaulted. Lillie Kennedy was shot.Their home was ransacked with property missing.Houston cold case officers in 2009 developed a DNA profile in the case.Investigators in late 2014 received a tip that Degan could be a suspect. His DNA was tested. He was arrested Wednesday.
