Failing in their endeavors, and being told they were rai*-tsken in the house, they left, but soon returned again and demanded admittance threatening to kick the door down if tbeir demand was not complied with. They were admonished from within to go away, or they would be shot. No hopes being entertained of his recovery. After Tarr had been shot the party entered the house cceupied by Geo.
