(AP-A 16-year-old Saiina bov is in custody here today, booked on suspicion of armed robbery after the $45 holdup of a liquor store Friday night.Detective Karl Triplett said Ernest C. Downs has admitted the liquor store robbery.Mrs. Henrietta Stathis, 64. said a youth asked if he could buy a bottle of liquor. Suspecting he was under-age, she told him no,but agreed to change a $1 bill.When she opened the cash register, she said, he produced apistol and demanded money.A youth later entered a taxicab at the bus depot, but bolted when the driver commented he seemed nervous. Downs was arrested a few minutes later.An officer said a pistol was found in the bus depot washroom and that money was found stuffed in one of Downs’ socks.
