Garden Couple Is Found DeadA Garden Cli/ty couple who bad returned to their borne state to visit relatives andfriends was found asphyxiated in a motol room at llammon, Okla., Marshal Doug Shoe keysaid today.They were identified as Mr.and Mrs. W. W. “Buck” Snow.Snow, 50, had been employed the past 3Vi months at the Master Feeders II feedyard southwest of Garden City. He, and bis wife, Ailene, 50, and her daughter, Darlene Rice, Hived in a mobile home east of Garden City.A double funeral is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sharon Cemetery near Lake Valley, Okla. in Washinta County.Shoe key said the two apparently had been dead since Tuesday when they checked into a llammon motel far a one-night stay.The Snows moved recently from Custer County in western Oklahoma to Garden City. Theybad returned to Hammon for avisit with the family of has brother, Houston Snow, an anea farm-artShocfcey said the bodies were discovered in the overheated motel room Thursday afternoon after the motel operators became concerned because they could not arouse the Snows.“They hadn’t been discovered sooner because the motel owners thought the couple bad gone on to his brother's home to visit,” Shockey said. “Someone noticed their car still parked at the motel and that’s when they tried to arouse them.”Shockey said a wall beater was still banning when he opened the moteil room door after being called to investigate.“It appears that the wall heater just burned adl the oxygen out of the air and they were asphyxiated,” he said. “The room was biasing hot when we opened the door.“We found Mrs. Snow’s body in bed but her husband apparently tried to get out of the roam. His body was on the floor. A little dog they had with them also was killed.”Shockey said the couple “never got to hits brother’s house to visit, so they must have died Tuesday oigiht.
