IS AWARDED CUDJOE LEWIS AGAINST THE LOUISVILLE AND NASHVILLE ROAD.Yesterday afternoon in the circuitcourt Cud joe Lewis, a resident of Plateau, was awarded $650 damagesagainst the Louisville and Nashville Railroad for injuries to the plaintiff in March last. Lewis was peddling with a little push cart, at the depot, when a switch engine of the Louisville and Nashville backed into him and injured him considerably. Lewis sued# *C L « 14 r • %for $5.ono. He Is the father of Cud joe Lewis, the former negro deputy, who was shot and killed one night last summer at Plateau.
