Elkhart Sentinel: “At the call of some of the citizens of Osolo township a meeting was held Saturday evening, Jan. 11, at Johnson school house, for the purpose of forming a league, the object of which is to enforce the law in the township in regard to the sale of intoxicating liquors, gambling, etc. The attendance was good and the following persons were elected officers of the league: William Harvey, president; William Thompson, vice president; George Newell, secretary; Joseph Replogle, treasurer. Executive committee: Elias Palman, Samuel Moyer,Charles Yost, Benjamin Stone and Edward Stanley. * *
