Decern bet 24. would be allowed out on bail The court refused lo admit the I defendant to bail and ruled he would remain in the Sullivan County Jail until the trial comes up.Judge Walter F. Wood, at this hearing, set the date for the i trial as cither January 20, 221 or the Tuesday of the second week of the next term, which would be February 25.Hankins was indicted by the grand jury for first degree murder December 20 following his arrest the night of December 24 Mrs. Rirby Hankins, 28. wife of the defendant, was found earlier , that evening in their upstairs apartment on South Main Street, dead from a pistol wound, Hankins was arrested in a Sullivan and reportedly admitted the killing to state and local officers after questioning
