Island Lake man charged with theftWEST DUNDEE — A 22-year-old Island Lake man was charged with retail theft, police report, for attempting to steal a sweater valued at more than $72 from Marshall Field’s at Spring Hill Mall last weekend. Police said Stephen M. Eisenmencer of 677 Yale Lane was arrested outside the store after an employee saw a man place the sweater under clothing he was wearing. Eisenmencerawaits a Feb. 4 court date in Elgin.
