Killed by Rolling Pin“Maggies” Weapon Does NovbScotia Man to Deathr1raI siifCII tIL.AMHERST, N.S., Jan. 4—Mrs.Frank Scopie, of River Hebert was lodged in Cumberland County jail here tonight in connection with the death of Philip Landry, River Hebert horseman, who died Saturday of a fractured skull.Evidence given at the inquest which returned a verdict of death following a blow on the head delivered By person or persosns unknown was that Landry, well-known as a driver on Maritime.. jaPT?tracks, had been at the Scopie home-on New Year’s afternoon when the injury was sustained. He had been found wandering about in a bewildered manner thatnight. *Leo Scopie admitted making the statement that his mother had struck Landry with a rolling-pin. Dr. A. E. Macintosh said the4|man’s skull had been fractured by a blow from some blunt instrument. His face also had beenbruised.
