That it would be issued, informed officials would neither affirm nor deny.The grand Jury, in session today, was considering the final composition of the report, rumor said.Hearings precipitated by District Attorney A. P. Nelson after charges had been made by northern Orange county klan leaders, have been conducted for the last several weeks. Approximately a dozen witnesses appeared before the grand jury to testify. That the special report, if issued, would make public the findings of the inquisitorial body was the concensus today, causing a thrill of anticipation.Speculation in the matter was chiefly concerned with the question of truth or falsity of charges hurled at the county officials and various municipal officers, and the attitude of the grand jury toward the controversy.Following attacks on the law enforcement situation in the county by the Rev. Leon L. Myers, of Anaheim. and William Starbuck, of Fullerton, the district attorney demanded a “show down and announced his purpose of “getting to the bottom of the matter before the grand jury. He issued a summons to Myers, Starbuck and others to appear before the grand jury. The probe eventually widened to include Chief of Police Arthur Kells, of Fullerton.
