T. Me-l| Conahav’s.Justice of Peace Court thislt;morning upon an affidavit made by I the Rev. V. \V. Ott, pastor of that 1 church on a charge of disturbing a j religious meeting and of intoxication.Larson was brought to this city and placed in the city bastile until hishonor could be located. Justice Mc-Conahay was located and ordered the officer to bring him to Whickcar Whitehall’s law office for trial.Larson was arraigned on both charges and plead guilty as charged and threw himself on the mercy of the | court, asking him to be as lenient as possible with him, making the statement that this was his first offense and that he was sorry for his action.The court on review of the case considered all facts and (in view of the age of the defendant, being more than fifty years of age he did not feel inclined to let him off with any light fine, although the punishment for intoxication could not be made very heavy.The court after administering a sane an sensible lesson to the defendant, fined him $2 and costs for intoxication in all $11.70, and $25 and costs in all $34.70 for disturbing a public meeting.The fine was immediately paid.
