Tilburn would be unable tio find an attorney in Greene county to defend him against the charges now pending in the Greene circuit court is refuted. Webster V. Moffett, of Bloomfield, called at the jail last night, and after a long talk with the former minister, announced that he had been retained to defend him.A report was current yesterday that arangements were being made for ia relative of Til burn’s in the west, who is reported to be worth a good deal of money, to put up a certified Check for $5000 which is the amount of the ex-minister’s bond, in order to indemnify bondsmen. It is said that there are several men in Linton whohave expressed a willingness to sign the bond under such conditions.Tilburn spends most of his hi m e in the jail reading or writing.
