BADLY BURNED.Kiss Eva Win ton Meets With a Sad Accident Yesterday Afternoon.Miss Eva Winton, who lives with her widowed mother, on South Elm-st., met with a sad accident yesterday afternoon. She had been out with a friend sleigh-riding, and oh returning was quite cold and just as she entered her home the carrier boy ofthe Democrat, came along and threw-the daily into the yard, and with I out stopping to warm she 1 opened the door and went out to get I the paper. In stepping out of thej door, to the step outside, she slipped and fell, and as she did so fainted. She lay in the snow some two or three minutes, and after recovering arose and went into the house. She sit down by the stove, and, becoming dizzy, fell forward and a truck her fac8 against the red-hot stove, burning herself in a frightful manner, and so bad that she will carry the scars to her . grave. There was no one present just at the time, but her screams soon brought in the neighbors, who administered to her wants. She had become perfectly numb from riding, and it seemed Shad no control of her limbs. Miss Winton is a member of the Baptist Church choir and is one of the most popular young ladies in the city. The Democrat sympathizes with her and her relatives in this sadaccident.
