Scull, died January 8 at her late home, 816 Avenue K, after a long illness, She was 50 years of age and leaves several children—Miss Viola Scull, Messrs. Ira Scull and Ralph Scull. Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fleming Smizer and sister of Mrs. Annie McCullough of this city. The funeral services are expected to be held tomorrow from the Reedy chapel, A. M, E, church, as Mr. Ralph Scull, Jr., a son and sergeant in the Ohio National Guard, U. S. A., will be in attendance. Deceased was a member of Magdalene Temple, IK B. F.; the Daughters of Zion, and she was president of the Hospital Aid Society. The funeral will be under the auspices of the Daughters of Zion. Willis Hebert will have charge of the funeral,Mr. Joe Porter, aged 48 years, died January 3 at John Sealy hospital. The remains were shipped January 4 to Juliff, Fort Bend County, Texas, and were burled in the House cemetery. The whole community turned out in respect of the dead, who was one of the leading farmers and well-to-do citizens of the county. He leaves a wife and two children and i\ brother. The funeral services -were under the auspices of Ancient Order of Pilgrims. Mr. Johnnie Porter was a son and Mr. F. P. Porter was a brother of the deceased. W. K. Hebert of Willis Hebert, undertakers, accompanied the body to Ju\iff.Mr. Chas.- McKinney, aged 42 years, died January 5 at 1111 Avenue L. The remains were shipped to Brazoria, Texas, January lt;, by Willis Hebert, undertakers.Mrs. Lavina Johnson, aged 39 years, died January 8 at John Sealy hospital and was buried January 9 at 2 p. m., with funeral services from F.
