WORK OF FIREBUGS.l 9; 'There Seems to be a Mania for Burning Stables mid Livestockin Town*There uuaa vigorous alarm of fire atseven o'clock last Saturday evening, which sent the hoso companies scurrying toward the north end of town. The fire was located in Newtown and proved to be in the stable of William Johnson,colored. The building was completely enveloped in a bright blaze when thefiremen reached the scene. Light water pressure near the extremity of the three-inch mains rendered the fire apparatus less effective than usual, and the building was entirely destroyed. With it was ! burned a horse and wagon, some harness, feed-stuff, c. The loss was a severeone to the owner, who is well advanced in years, and who made his living by hauling. The building was evidently set on fire, persons who were on the ground early having noticed a strong odor of kerosene.
