Shortly after his arrival the saloon of Ed Leaph and the Southern Indiana depot were entered, and while nothing of great value was taken, v§t a misdemeanor was committed by by which the guilty men,*if convicted, can be sent to the penitentiary..At this point Marshal Willis became busy. He learned that two strange and suspicious looking people were staying at the home of John Boles, in the north part of town, and decided to watch them.He soon learned that the parties were Hiatt and the Clark woman and while he had no positive evidence that they were the persons who committed Friday night's robbery, he had sufficient cause to justify their arrest.He locked them up and the authorities at Bloomfield were notified.
