SecondMan DiesOf WoundsThe second of two men shot by a San Antonio policeman last Sept. 18 when they and a third companion attempted to escape a burglary scene by rushing the officer died Friday afternoon in Bexar County Hospital.Isidro Marroquin, 26, of 154 A 11 s u p St., whose spine was shattered by one or two police bullets fired in the Handy Andy Food Store No. 2 al 919 Bandera Rd., had been hospitalized since the i n c i d e n t wMcli occurred about l a.m.The other bullet killed Mace-donio Tovar, 18, of 4221 W. Commerce St; A ,third suspect, Mike V a q u e r a, 17, of 267 Apperson Ave., halted and surrendered after the shots were fired.Marroquin and Tovar were charged with burglary In Justice of the Peace Jimrnte Gutierrez.Patrolman Bddie Wright, 25, who had never fired at anyone before in his five years as a policeman, triggered the two shots as, he said, the three, ran directly al him trying io escapei through a door leading from the meat cooler of-the darkened su-1 perniarkel.Wright was accompanied by .Tames V. Bingham, 45, of the Smith Detective Agency. The pair were investigating a silent burglar alarm which had been tripped in the store.
