Greater Lowell Men Must Face Criminal Prosecution as Result of Indictments Returned Today at East Cambridge (Special to The Sun) EAST CAMBRIDGE,‘ Jan. 10—Nu merousndictments were returned against Lowell men when the grand jury convened here today. It is ex pected that more indictments will be returned before the end of the day In asmuch as the jury is still In session. Arraignments are expected tomorrow. Peter Varesies was indicted for a criminal assault upon a girl under 16 years of age at Lowell on Nov. 11, lead. Frank O. Normandin was indicted for armed robbery at Lowell on Dec. 23, with intent to kill or maim, if re sisted. The victim was Horace Vachon who lost $7. Another indictment ac cuses Normandin of carrying a re volver without 2 permits on Dec. 23. Both Normandin and William Nor mandin are named in another Instru ment for armed robbery in Lowell on Dec.23 with intent to or caim, if resisted. The ‘victim in this case was Albert Marcotté who lost $9 Burt A. Landry was indicted for breaking and ‘entering the store of Maurice H. Powers on Dec. 10 and larceny of 11 bottles of Mgnors. A second county accuses the man of re ceiving stolen goods. John Calnan and Francis J. Cooney were indicted for breaking and enter ing the building of Ambrose Dan cause at Westford on Nov. 15 and larceny therefrom of an oil stove. A second indictment accuses these men of breaking. and entering the building of Paul Stevens at West ford on the same day and larceny of field ‘glasses, cartridges, fishing od and other articles.’ A third Indice ment accuses the mew of breaking and entering the home of Lewis Balfe at Westford on the same day and Inreeny of goods. A fourth Indictment accuses this same pair of treaking and entering the building of David A. Considine at Westford on Nov. 15 and the Inreeny of clothing with other articles. » Stanley J. Lach was tnnided for using an automobile without author ity in Lowell on dan. 3. The car was the property of Br. Thomas Morsley of Westford. Stanley Juskiewsen was indicted for using “an automobile of the Lowell Motor Sales Co. In Lowell on Dec. 10 without authority. Another indictment avenses Lach and John P. Teschatter of using the automobile of Hildreth Meigs at Law elon Dee, a1 without authority” Frank Ziembas was indicted for taking up automobile of William S. Murray of Lowell on Sept. 7 without, authority and larceny of a radio therefrom. Another indictment charges Ziemba and Mehdel Ziema with breaking and entering the builddng of Delmont Cobnmm ani larceny therefrom of one gun, Ashing rod, an axe, three knives, shells, jacket, a diary, tobacco, paddle, fish, locks, mittens, snowshoes, breading sar dines. Another indictment charges the sane two with breaking and enter ing the building of Alexander Mall lox on Dec. at Dracut, and lar ceny of beer, flavacco, pits and tanned goods. ~ Still another indictment charges both men with breaking and enter ing the state of George He Garshle in Dracut on Dec. 10, and larceny therefrom of articles of hardware, bread, tools, cakes, tarts and pes.
