IntruderCarriedPistolMiss Kathy Hanes, 10 year-old daughter of Mr and Mrs. Jerry Baker of W. 21st St., was the victim of an attempted robbery Thursday afternoon.She called deputies of the Ko-wan County Sheriff’s Department at North Kannapolis to report the incident at 3:30 p. m.She said she was alone in the house, babysitting with two smaller children, when a red-haired man” knocked at thedoor.She said the man had a small pistol” tucked into his belt, and he demanded all the money in the house.” He got nothing.The man then reportedly told the girl that he would be back to stay if he couldn’t find any other place to stay, and he left.She described the would be robber as being about five feet, six inches tall, weighing approx imately 130 pounds, with med ium length hairV
