Police railed the Sheriff’s Department which had two cars respond to the call. Police arrived at 8:59 a.m. and found Malcolm G. Hershey, 44, of Lot 25 of Triple M Park in front of the residence of Lot 26.Neighbors indicated^ . the person who did the shooting was still in the trailer at Lot 26 and had a shotgun. Church-St., Dalton. Rev. Ralph Fogal officiated at the service and burial in Dalton Cemetery.Hasty died Saturday morning at Dunlap Memorial Hospital following a six-week illness.He had been employed as circulation manager of the Courier-Crescent. He had livedMrs. Grnher, 7QMrs. Pearl Graber, 70, of 1521 Harding Ave., Orrville, mother of Judge Jonah Howells Jr. died Tuesday morning at Smjthville-Western Care Center near Smithville following a two-year illness. Auble Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.BREAK-INA breaking and entering and crimirtal damaging at the Riceland Golf Course was investigated Monday at 11:36 a.m.the trailer and the body. There were no apparent signs of life upon checking the body at 9:06 a.m. Several calls for the assailant were made with no response. At 9:20 a.m. Police Sgt. Charles Yehl threw a tear gas canister into the trailer. The fire department was called to the scene prior to this to stand by in case of fire.After the tear gas was thrown, Frost kicked the door in and no one was in the trailer. A small fire had broken out from the tear gas. It was extinguished by Orrville Fire Department. Auble’s Emergency removed the body.An area wide broadcast was made for the suspect car and the four occupants who were at the trailer at the time of the shooting. At 10:36 a.m, two of the occupants went to the Wadsworth Police Department to recover some property there. With assistance from Medina Sheriff Department, Frost arrested Osburn shortly after 11 a.m.The four were taken to the Uadsworth Police Department where they were questioned. Three subjects were released and Osburn was taken into custody and transported to Wayne County jail. A 16-gauge shotgun was recovered in the house trailer.Witnesses said there had been a disturbance between the two men, Osburn and Hershey, at about 8:45 a.m. Hershey was shot shortly after that in the upper left leg.The main artery in the leg was severed. Cause of death according to Coroner. Dr. J. T. Questel was exsanguination (bleeding to death) secondary to shotgun wound‘fti left thigh. The victim died shortly after being shot.Also at the scene was Wayne County Prosecutor KeithShearer.Miller represented the state in the arraignment. The reason the arraignment was held Tuesday in Orrville branch of Wayne County Municipal Court was because the court reporter was at that court that morning.Funeral services are Thursday (today) at Auble Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Baldwin of the Church of Christ, North Elm St., officiating. Burial will be in St. Michaels Cemetery near Marshallville.He was born on March 26,1931 in OrrviUe the son of Vernon and Goldie Lucas Hershey and had been a resident of Orrville hisentire life. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He served in the U. S. Army during theKorean War and for Ihe past six years had owned and operatedthe Triple M Trailer Park in Orrville.He is survived by two sons, George and Russell; two daughters, * Mrs. Joe (Linda) McCourt and Mrs. Jay (Pat) McDougal; one brother, Merle L. Hershey; one sister, Mrs. Ronald (Shirley) Arbogast; and three grandchildren, all of Orrville.His parents and one brother died previously.
