According to police, Tragsch was stopped on Budlong Street at Broad Street when Werta came out of a private drive without stopping, crossed both lanes of traffic and struck the Tragsch vehicle. Werta stated his brakes quit working. Werta did not have a seat belt available and Tragsch was using a seat belt. They were not injured.• Ken W. Weisenburger, 27, of Gessner, Texas, was cited by Hillsdale police for failure to yieldmonuay ai me jonn wanioiaresidence, 9377 E. Bacon. There was no fire when firefighters arrived and no damage. A creosote build up or a roaring fire probably caused the fire, according to Firefighter Mike Hoover. They returned to the station at 2:01 p.m.• Waldron firefighters were called to a basement fire at 7 a.m. today at the Clarence Wehrle residence, 11431 Camden Road. Insulation around a wood-burning heater caused the fire which caused about $50 worth of damage to the floor, said Chief Bill Hall. The home is insured, he said. They returned to the station at 7:43 a.m.
