It is Bagged by Marshal Shan non and Sheriff Eisor. .Deputy United States Marshal JackShannon and Sheriff John P, Eisermade two very important arrests at CecilSaturday night.Thursday evening the Daily Express noted the fact that two men hadstopped at the store of Mrs. Spangler, on Perry street and passed a counterfeit half dollar on her That was Wednesday evening of last week. Since that time the officials have been very active trying to locate the men ami succeeded, as stated alxve. in finding them at Cecil. The men are Henry Luce and Dr. Alex Thompson. A lot of coin were found on the men, half dollars and dimes, which Marshal Shannon says are about as fine counterfeits as he everseen. The pieces are very light but themilling is as good as in genuine money and vexy easy to pass.The men were apprehended without much trouble and were brought here and lodged in prison. Thompson drew a gun when the officers called him. buthe claims now that he only desired to give it to his wife. It has been known to the United State officers for some time that counterfeit money was being scattered through the northwest and they are of the opinion that only a part of the gang has been arrested. Luce and Thompson are very reticent and no doubt understand their business fully.Blank oaths found on one of the prisoners show that there is a regular organization. The oath is as follows:
