Rinehart Released From State PrisonCecil Rav Rinehart has been released l’rom the State Prison on parole from a life sentenceimposed in 1967 following his guilty plea to the murder of Hobbs merchant Phil YenerRinehart was firstreleased from the prison m Santa Fe and sent to the Correctional Institute near Roswell where he remained for about six months before his release.Yener operated a clothing store next to (’awards on West Broadwa\ in Hobbs Hiswife died several vears%before and he continued to live alone af their home 304 North Shipp in I tobbs.Mrs. Leota ('award recalls finding Mr. Yenerlying dead in his homeabout ten o'clock in the morning. She said he was always so prompt in opening his store and when he failed to do so on November 16. she first went to the front door of his home, it was locked, so she went to the back and t he door wasst anding open. She said she went in, found Mr Yener lying on the floor dead, his head and clothing wet showing that In* had been placed in t he bat htubprior to the killing. She said one shoe was lying by the body, his empty wallet and a bag of groceries had been scat tered.Rinehart in his confession named an accomplice who entered a not guilty plea. He asked for change of venue and the trial was heard inCarlsbad. He wasdefended bv two court«►appointed attorneys, George Schubert and BobRichards both of Hobbs. Richards said he didn’t believe his court appointed client was guilty and a Carlsbadjury found him innocent.Rinehart has been seen in and out of Hobbs in recent months but according to Sheriff Ralph Wrinkle lie is to be paroled to Texas after Januarv 1. He is reported to he living in Lubbock.Yener had two sons,Louis Yener, an attorneyin Albuquerque and Alvin whose address is unknown to local peopleco nt act ed.The remains of Phil Verier were removed to Dallas where he wasburied in a Jewish(Vmeterx .
