Redington, partners doing business under the name of Grovenor A Ked-ington, did, on the 11th day of December, A. D. 1873. file their petition in the office of the clerk of the District Court in and for the county of Douglas, State of Kansas, against the said Priscilla Blackburn and John Blackburn, setting iorth that tbe said Priscilla Blackburn and John Blackburn were and arc indebted to the said Grovenor Redington in the sum of $25.11 on account for work done and materials iur-niahed by said Grovenor A Redington to tbe said Priscilla Blackburn and John Blackburn, at their instance and request, for and in the construction and comuletfon ot a barn situated on lot one hundred and forty-three (1-131 Rhode Island street in the city of Lawrence, county and State aforesaid; ana that the said Grovenor A Redington did, on the 11th dayof February, 1873, within the time required by law and according to the provisions thereof file in said court their lien on said lot number 143 on Rhode Island street, in said city, county and state, and the appurtenances thereto, for the sum of $25.11 as and for work done and materials furnished in erecting said barn, and praying in said petition for judgment against said Priscilla Biackourn and John Blackburn for the said sum of $25.11 and interest thereon since December 11th, 1872, and for costs, and that said premises be decreed to be sold accordiny to law an t the proceeds applied In payment of the said claim with the interest due thereon; and the said Priscilla Blackburn and John Blackburn are hereby notified to appear and answer said petition on or befoie the 10th day of February, A.
