He | was a member of the Congrcgation-! al church.*H. C. Moeller, hardware and implement dealer of Milford, Iowa, died suddenly Sunday afternoon, December 30, 1928, at ids farm near Superior, Iowa. Mr. Moeller had been in business in Milford for nineteen years and was also well known in Spencer.He drove out Sunday forenoon tu visit his half section farm near Superior, arriving at about eleven o'clock. He was talking with his tenant, Mr. Rosik, on matters regarding the farm, when suddenly he threw up his arms and fell forward to the ground, death having oc-•curred instantly. Mr. liosik phoned immediately for Dr. Q. C. Fuller who hurriedly drove to the farm, but found Mr. Moeller beyond medical aid, death having occurred from heart trouble, with which he had been for some time afflicted, but not so as to prevent him from attending to business in which he had been very successful, having several farms in addition to his store business.Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at ten o’clock at the home, the Rev. Lewis N. Moody, pastor of the Federated church, oiti-. elating. Following the services the body was taken to the chapel of the Cobb Funeral Home in Spencer, to remain until later in the week, probably Thursday, awaiting the arrival of a brother of the deceased from California, when interment with services at the grave -will be made in Lone Tree cemetery at Everly.The following obituary was furnished by the Milford Mail:Henry C. Moeller was born in Benton county, Iowa, on April 12, 1873. He lived there until the spring of 1890, when he moved with his family to a farm one mile north and one and one-half miles west of Evcrly. air. Moeller entered into business with his cousin, H. H. •Moeller, in 1900, in the implement trade in Evenly. He was united in holy matrimony to Anna Ketelsen of Everly on June, 3, 1903, and to tills union one daughter was born at Everly on May 21, 1901. The family moved to Milford in 1909 and there a son was born the same year. Mr. Moeller was engaged here in the hardware and implement business, buying out the S. O. Pillsbury stock, which business he continued until his death. Mrs. Katharine Moeller mother of the deceased, who lives at Evcrly, could not be present at his funeral service in Milford on account of ill health. Russell Bates of Milford were held last Monday at the Excelsior church with the Rev. Batchelor oiliclating. Interment was made in the Lake Park cemetery.The following account of the death and illness of the young man was taken from the Milford Mail:Russell Irwin Bates, son of Sheldon and Edna Bates, was born October 20, 1923, and passed away at the Spencer hospital on December 22, 1928, at the age of 5 years, 2 months and 2 days. He leaves to mourn his departure his father and mother, four brothers and four sisters: Mrs. Claude Northey, LesterE., ffdwin J., Wilbur S., Kenneth D., Florence L., Lois M. and Irene E., two nieces and numerous other relatives.‘‘The real cause of his death was thought to be mesenteric thrombosis and followed six days of bronchitis and other complications which battled the doctors.He was baptized at the age of two years and was a regulur attendant at Sunday school.Relatives present from away included Mrs. Mary Hatfield of Spirit Lake, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Yager of Montgomery, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Shingledecker of Audubon, James Yager of Sioux City, Air. and Airs. J. F. Yager and Air. and Airs. E. S. Bates of Alilford, and Airs.
