He said Crossman waswho found Grossman.Officers told Crossman’s family that Christopher Biown, 20, who was arrested three weeks ago with Crossman’s boyfriend, called 911 after finding Cross-raan, Esther Crossman said.Brown, who is from the Rochester area, had been staying with Crossman.Syracuse police charged Brown and Crossman’s boyfriend, Hector Miranda, 29, with assault and possession of a weapon Dec. 10 after a fight on the porch of the Memtnan Avenue home of Crossman's father and stepmother. Esther Crossman said her brother was stabbed in the forehead during the fight.Miranda has been held in the Justice Cenier Jail in lien of bail since the arrest, but Brown wasreleased from jail, according to Justice Center records.Neither man could be reached Sunday by The Post-Standard.Oji Sunday, Syracuse police were collecting evidence in Grossman *s apartment and asking Crossinmi's neighbors in the nine-unit apartment building if they saw or heard anything suspicious.Connellan said it did nut appear that Crossman’s apartment had been broken into or ransacked.Crossman’s relatives last saw her Friday afternoon when she visited them on Syracuse’s West Side.Esther Crossmait said the family has no idea why anyone would kill Sue Ann.Crossman did not have theeasiest life, her stepmother said. Crossman grew up in foster homes. When she turned 13, her father, Edward Crossman, regained custody of henCrossman’s mother, Phyllis Stiles, also lives in the Syracuse area.Crossman never worked after graduating from Fowler .High School, and received Social Security disability payments, Esther Crossman said, for physical pid mental disabilities. Her family helped pay her $425 per month rent.Esther and Edward Crossman have had custody of two of Crossman's three children for the past four years. Esther Cross-man said. Crossman’s oldest child lives with his father.She loved her children to death. She was a great mom. But site hud some problems/.' she said.Crossman and Miranda moved from Dunbar Avenue to Columbus Avenue about three months ago.In recent weeks, while her boyfriend was in jail, Crossman mentioned she was afraid of living on Columbus Avenue, Eslher Crossman said.
