Maryland Girl Dies In 2 - Car CollisionTragedy struck for the first j time in the '-59 year this morning and presented Montgomery County with Its first death of the new year.Killed instantly in a two-car collision was nine-year old Charlene Louise Albright of Baltimore, Md.The accident occurred around 10 a.; m. one mile east of Radford an U. S. Highway 11..Involved In the crash was a1955 Chevrolet, of which the Albright’s were occupants, and a1956 Chevrolet frofn Arkansas. The names of the occupants of the Arkansas vehicle were not disclosed by press time this monk tag;Albright, a school teacher in Baltimore public schools, his wife and two children - were on their way home from a trip. - \Both the Maryland and Arkaii\ sas cars were headed east when the mishap occurred. Albright's CheVy swerved to the left of the road, skid over an embankment and crashed into a tree. The windshield was cracked and the entireleft side*, of the Albright car smashed.Damages to the Arkansas Chevy included a dented right fender and other minor damages.No other damages were reported in the six person accident. .The body was taken to Seaver's Funeral Home pending arrangements..Investigating officer for the highway fatality was Virginia State Trooper H. C. Board.The death is Montgomery Coun- l ty's first of the year and the second of the 102-hour holiday period.Virginia's traffic death toll for the year is three.
