Grant Thompson, 65, well-known Miller County farmer, living near Rag-nell, which Is about thirty miles from Jefferson City, was shot and killed by Fred Chrlsman, a neighbor, as the result of an argument, according to reports received in Jefferson City. Chris-man’s son. whose first name could not be learned, was later shot In the back by a son of Thompson, it was said, and Is reported to be in a serious condition. The affair is a continuation of a feud between the two families, the report received stated. The trouble began more than two years ago, it was said, when a misunderstanding arose regarding religion. Since that time the man killed and Chrisman engaged In three battles, the report said, both being seriously wounded twice. Both men were out on bond awaiting trial for felonious assault, each upon tl»e ' other, when the killing took place, the report stated.
