His body was brought to Lockhart on the 4 o’clock train the same morning. The negroes wer^ brought to Lockhart and lodged in jail,Mr. Teas was a brave and efficient officer; as a man his genial disposition won him hosts of friends. ,Mr. Gomillioh is equally efficient and popular and is deeply grieved on account of the accident which ended the t life of so doee a friend.Mr. Teas was about fortytwo children, a son Jesse, and a daughter, Mrs. A. W. Smith.The remains were buried in the city cemetery Monday at 10 o’clock, the funeral services being conducted by the Woodmen of the World, of which order he was an honored member.
