The Creston Young Ladies’ Military Hand, of Creston, that played at the Agricultural Fair here last fall, is making a terrible lot of discordant music in their hdrne town just at present. The lender Prof. Land has been thrown into jail charged with the crime of having ilicit relationship with Ellen and Mable Gilmare, two of its members. The mother of the two girls who lives in St. Paul, Minnesota, has written a letter to the Mayor of Creston, in which she charges Land with ruining her daughters and is now keeping them against their will. Prof. Land and the two ladies were given a trial ou Friday last and and after hearing the evidence Land and Ellen Gilmore were bound over in the sum of $200 to await the action of the grand jury.
