On Friday, Sim. Ross, Iko Collins and Mart. Walpole, members of the chain-gang, refused to continue work. Mayor Brashear warned them of the consequences, and Walpole reconsidered his determination and went to work, but the two former, still refusing, were sent to the dungeon, to subsist on bread aud water.
