Following the killing,| it will he recalled, the Crawleys made j their escape and were trailed for■ about a week through the Georgia ; mountains, into Tennessee, by troops j from Camp Gordon, and finally wore I taken by a Federal officer and brought ! to Atlanta.Upon trial they were convicted and■ several weeks ago filed an extraordi-! nary motion for a new trial, after the j Supreme Court had upheld the lower i court in denying the regular motion I for new trial. Upon argument of the i extraordinary motion, that was denied : by the lower court, and yesterday anappeal was filed with the state Su-1 preme Court on that. It has been docketed for argument in the January term of the supreme court.
