Two Woodruff cousins, Henry J,Stevens, 18 and Norman W. Stevens. 22, are being hold under bail in the Oneida county jail while awaiting sentence in County Court for participation in a . cries of summer home burglaries in theMinocqtia-Woodruff area last fall and early winter.Appearing before Judge GeorgeA. Richards Tuesdav afternoon, the oou.sins pleaded guilty with the aid of their eourt-apiointed lawyer. Ijee Fernsteen. Judge Richards ordered pre-sentence investigations by the State Department of Public Welfare and withheld imposition of sentences until he receives reports on those investigations.Meanwhile, a preliminary hearing was scheduled this afternoon for Franklin J, Stevens, 24. brother of Henry, who is charged with 11 summer home burglaries and with arson in the burning of toe William Wells summer cottage on Clear lake near W(*odruif last Nov.15, Franklin, apprehended in Milwaukee and returned here lastV- ^5:V' uweek, has denied the charges Franklin, on parole from the state of Ohic on two statutory rapecharges, was placed on probation in Circuit Court here last summer ; for escaping from the Oneida eoun-i tv jail in 1958 He is being held , under $5,000 bail.Charges Itemized.Franklin and Henry are charged wdth burglarizing the following 11 summer homes and lake cottages: Ray McNamar.
